Dealers, Demonstrations and Exhibits

Sphere making, cabbing, beading, arrownhead napping, faceting, wire wrapping, silversmithing, and more.

Also at the Wichita Gem & Mineral Show, we will have our flourescent room, come and look at the marvels of nature under a black light!

For the kids we have grab bags, a spinning wheel, and a jr. rockpile. The grab bags include several mineral, fossil and rock specimens. Spin the wheel for a treasure, go into the rockpile and fill a paper bag with all sorts of neat rocks.

And of course while you are there, don't forget to check out the silent auction table, and the "Gem Hunt."

Education Day, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

School groups, including home-schoolers, are admitted without charge if arrangements have been made in advance.  Contact Patti Clough at (316)210-7380 or pat_clough@hotmail.com  Those registered in advance attend a 30-minute rock/mineral identification class.  This is a hands-on experience using different means of testing actual specimens.  Students inspect exhibits, including displays of vendors.  Grab bags with 10 specimens and a stone necklace are available for $1.50, and digging in the rock pile for a bag of “prize finds” is $.50.
